Shoulder Tendinitis Moving down my arm?

About a year ago, I was told I had tendinitis in my left shoulder due to being a hip hop dancer. No major issues have come about in the past year and usually just deal with the pain but lately it has been flaring up frequently and when i'm not even doing anything. The pain has actually moved down my arm to right above my elbow. Is this normal and any suggestions to help with the pain would be appreciated
