Tips on dating a older guy, and dealing with protective parents?

A guy in my church recently admitted to liking me, and I like him back. We both want to start dating, but there is a problem. He's 21, i'm 17 (for two more months), my parents know we won't be sleeping around but I know they will still be really protective, they may make us group date and such. Do you think this is fair? Any tips for handling this situation maturely?
