Insight on HPV please?

On the paper it says I tested positive for HPV 16/18. I tested negative for everything else and showed now signs of lesions. They now want me to go to a a specialist to find out more. Can anyone give me more insight on this. My nurse seemed to be very vague and acted as though it was no big deal.
