If you get grants for school can you also get government loans?

Yes you're eligible. Best bet would be to contact your financial aid counselor. You can call him/her (fastest response) or email (they are busy and they will respond). You could also wait, maybe they're not finished disbursing awards yet. My school hasn't done so, I'm in California.
